Responsibilities

  • Serve as team’s SEO Subject Matter Expert including keyword research and search theme analysis, search interest, visibility, inbound link data and on-page optimization
    • Write and maintain up-to-date Title Tags, Meta Descriptions, heading and alt-text for all pages on republicwireless.com. This will require close partnership with the Web Content Specialist
      • Provide consultative support in this area to content owners of our early-stage content sub-domains as well as the Community sub-domain
    • Under guidance of Content Strategist and Senior Online Marketing Manager, implement internal cross-linking and work with UI team to implement associated anchor text to support optimal user flow to drive toward conversion
      • Provide consultative support in this area to content owners of our early-stage content sub-domains as well as the Community sub-domain
    • Use enterprise SEO platform and web analytics platform to report weekly on organic performance at the domain level, page level and keyword category levels and make recommendations for optimizations
  • Using enterprise SEO platform, research competitors on their keyword and content performance, strategy and tactics
  • Propose relevant A/B test framework and execute appropriate optimizations
  • Provide backup technical and off-site SEO support:
    • Fix crawl errors reported by Google and Bing Webmaster Tools
    • Implement high impact site audit recommendations suggested within enterprise SEO tool
    • Perform monthly copy searches for high-value pages to prevent copycat duplicate content
    • Perform regular cleanup of link profile to ensure compliance with search engine guidelines

Qualifications

  • Desired Skills & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (marketing, finance or business majors) with 2-3 years of onsite SEO experience, especially in keyword research and on-page optimization.
    • Proficiency in SEO industry tools preferred (e.g. Google AdWords Keyword Planner, Raven Tools, BrightEdge, Conductor, Moz, Open Site Explorer, Majestic SEO, Ontolo, BuzzStream, Ahrefs, LinkResearchTools, SEMRush, Xenu, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, etc.)
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
    • Position requires a passion for SEO, a commitment to staying abreast of news and trends in SEO and online marketing, detail orientation, and the ability to approach challenges with logic, problem solving, independent thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to interact successfully with cross-functional teams (Marketing (Brand & Acquisition), Support, UI Web Development) and to build collaborative relationships.
    • Excellent oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
